Today’s families often are looking for flexibility in their children’s school schedules. We offer options which extend the Gateway school day and help meet the needs of our community:
Mini Lunch
Our mini-lunch program runs daily from 12:00-1:00. This gives the children time to share lunch with friends and have a short play period before their school day ends.
Afternoon Program
We offer a full afternoon program daily from 12:00-3:00. After eating lunch in their respective classrooms, we have free-play (often held outside in nice weather) and bring Pre-Primaries, Primaries and Juniors together. At the close of free-play, the children will participate in daily programming- Performing Arts, Literature, STEM, Art and Free Choice. Rest time follows, during which teachers read stories and play quiet music. We end our afternoon on the playground using our last bits of energy as we await your arrival.
Afterschool Care
Primaries and Juniors can stay until 4 pm Monday through Thursday for our afterschool care program. Space is limited and is reserved for families who cannot pick up at the end of the school day. Children are given a snack and enjoy free play
